Choosing What Members See

Turning something off only hides it from members. Nothing is deleted: surveys, events, runs and history stay put, and they come back the moment you switch the feature on again. Changes take effect immediately and are recorded in your admin audit log.

Essentials mode

Essentials mode is the quickest way to simplify. When it's on, members see only:

• The My Drops card on Home — drops to give, drops received, and their River Bank to spend — with Give a Drop and Redeem
• The team's recognition feed, announcements and milestones
• Team Hub groups, chat and member directory
• My River and their profile
• The Drop Shop (if it's switched on)

Everything else — River Runs, River Rankings, Wellspring, Dailies, Happening Now (surveys, polls, trivia, dares), events, celebrations, recognition suggestions, flow streaks and seasons — is hidden from members. On wider screens the right-hand column keeps the member's welcome card and a Your teammates list, so recognizing someone is still one tap away.

Your individual switches are kept while Essentials mode is on. You can keep adjusting them, and when you turn Essentials mode off, members get exactly the layout those switches describe.

Member experience switches

Under Member experience you can fine-tune the extras:

A switch marked Not included in your plan belongs to a module your subscription doesn't include — there's nothing for members to see until the plan changes. See Billing for plan details.

Arranging sections

To change the order of the sections on Home and Team Hub, or hide one on a single page, use Settings > Layout. See Arranging Home and Team Hub. The layout and these switches work together: a section shows only when both allow it.

Who can change these settings

The Features tab is available to admins whose role includes Drop Defaults and Admin Settings permissions. See Role-Based Permissions.

The phone bottom bar

Members get a bottom bar on phones — in the iOS and Android apps and in a phone's web browser. You choose its 3 to 5 tabs and their order in Settings > Layout > Bottom bar (see Arranging Home and Team Hub). By default it shows Home, Team Hub, River Runs, Drop Shop and My River.

The bar follows these switches automatically: a tab whose feature is off (for example River Runs or Drop Shop, or Wellspring and River Rankings in Essentials mode) disappears from the bar. If that leaves fewer than 3 tabs, the bar fills back up from the default tabs. Pages that aren't in the bar stay in the menu (☰) at the top of the screen.
