Give River Mobile App

Give River is available as a native mobile app for iPhone and Android, built on the same codebase as the web version. Everything you can do on the web — sending drops, viewing the feed, completing River Runs, chatting with teammates — is available on mobile.

Signing In

The mobile app uses the same passwordless login as the web version:

The Give River home feed on a phone, showing recognition posts.
The home feed on iOS and Android.
  1. Open the app and enter your email address or phone number.
  2. Check your email or SMS for a 4-digit verification code.
  3. Enter the code in the app to sign in.

On iPhone, you can also sign in with Apple ID or Google. On Android, Google Sign-In is available.

Push Notifications

The mobile app supports push notifications so you know when:

  • Someone sends you a drop
  • A teammate comments on or reacts to your post
  • You earn drops from recognition

You'll be prompted to allow notifications during the onboarding wizard. If you skipped it, go to your device's SettingsGive RiverNotifications to enable them.

Mobile-Specific Features

A few features work differently on mobile:

  • Downloading reports — When you export CSV data from the admin Insights dashboard on mobile, files are saved to your device's Documents or Downloads folder (rather than triggering a browser download as on web).
  • VoIP Calls (iOS) — Give River supports VoIP-based audio calls on iPhone using the iOS CallKit framework, which integrates with the native phone experience.
  • Location — The app can optionally use your device's location to personalize your experience. You can grant or deny this during onboarding.

Keeping the App Updated

Give River updates are delivered through the App Store and Google Play. Enable automatic updates in your device settings, or check the store periodically for new versions.
