What Ugo Does

Ugo delivers in-app popups for the following events:

Token Reward (Drop Earned)

When you complete a good deed or finish a River Run lesson and earn River drops, Ugo appears with:

• A confetti animation
• A randomly chosen celebratory animation (chosen from 13 animations including Dancing, Juggling, Clapping, Flexing, and more)
• The number of drops you earned, displayed over a drop icon
• The sponsor's name and photo (if the run had a sponsor)
• A Learn More button explaining how drops support charities
• A Done button to dismiss

Gift Received

When a teammate sends you a gift, Ugo appears with:

• A celebratory animation
• A "Kudos!" headline
• The sender's username
• The gift image and description
• A Learn More button with information about the gift programme
• A Done button

Club / Team Invitation

When someone invites you to join a group or team, Ugo appears with:

• A confetti and animation celebration
• The group name and the inviter's username
• The group's cover image
• Decline and Accept buttons — tapping Accept immediately adds you to the group

Badge Earned

When you earn a badge milestone, Ugo appears with:

• A celebratory animation
• The badge image
• The badge title
• A Collect Badge button

Sticker Received

When a colleague sends you a sticker, Ugo appears with:

• A confetti animation
• The sticker image
• The sender's username
• A Close button

Default / General Notifications

For other platform events, Ugo delivers a simpler popup with a title, message, confetti, and a Close button.

Ugo's Animations

Ugo chooses a random animation for each popup from a library of 13 moves:

• Hello, Juggling, Jogging, Flexing, Thumbs Up, Dance, Dribble, Sleep, Jump Rope, Flying Kiss, Stretch, Clap, Listen to Music

This makes each celebration feel unique.

Learn More Popups

Both the Token Reward and Gift popups include a Learn More option that opens a secondary sheet explaining:

• For drops: how Give River collects donations from partners to fund your drop balance, and how your drops are directed to the charities and causes you choose.
• For gifts: the philosophy behind the gift system and how gifts are awarded.

Tap Got It or Close to dismiss the Learn More sheet and return to the main popup.

On-Screen Animation Behavior

When Ugo appears on a screen (notably on My River), the animation plays three loops and then settles into an idle pose — so you see the full personality the first time without it being distracting on every refresh. Tapping Ugo replays the same three-loop sequence, ending back in idle.
