Drop Dares and Challenges
Drop Dares (also called Competitions or Challenges) are opt-in engagement events where you compete with teammates for River Drop prizes. Each Dare has a theme, a joining fee, and prize tiers for the top finishers. Participation involves posting a photo or video as your entry.

Finding Drop Dares
- Open the Competitions or Dares section from the main navigation (the label may vary based on your organization's configuration).
- Active Dares are shown in the list. Each entry displays the Dare title, cover image, and basic stats.
- Tap a Dare to open its detail page.
Reading a Dare Detail Page
The detail page for a Dare shows everything you need to decide whether to participate:

| Cover image | A visual representing the Dare's theme |
| Title | The name of the Dare (shows "Dare Accepted!" if you have already joined) |
| Droppers joined | How many teammates have already accepted this Dare |
| Prize breakdown | 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes in River Drops |
| Description | Full details of the Dare — what you need to do to enter |

Accepting a Dare
- On the Dare detail page, tap Accept in the bottom action bar.
- A prompt shows the joining fee in coins (an in-app currency). Confirm you have enough to participate.
- Tap Confirm to accept. The coins are deducted from your balance.
- The Dare title updates to "Dare Accepted!" to confirm your entry.
Posting Your Entry
After accepting a Dare, you need to submit a photo or video as your entry.
- After accepting, tap Post in the bottom action bar (the button label changes from Accept to Post once you have joined).
- The app opens the Drop posting screen where you can:
- Take a new photo or video with your camera
- Choose an existing photo or video from your gallery
- Add a caption if desired.
- Tap Submit to post your entry to the Dare.
Your entry is submitted and becomes visible to others participating in or viewing the Dare.
Other Actions on the Dare Detail Page
The bottom action bar has three buttons:

|---|---|
| Alarm (bell icon) | Sets a reminder so you do not forget to post before the Dare closes |
| Accept / Post | Accepts the Dare (if not joined) or opens the post screen (if already joined) |
| Invite | Shares the Dare with a teammate, encouraging them to participate |
Prizes and Winners
Each Dare awards River Drops to the top three finishers:
- 1st place — highest number of drops
- 2nd place — second tier of drops
- 3rd place — third tier of drops
Prize amounts are displayed on the detail page before you join.
Viewing Past Dare Results
Dares that have ended show a results view on their detail page, including:
- The winner's username
- The prize value they received
- A thumbnail of their winning post
Tips
- Read the Dare description carefully before accepting — each Dare has specific requirements for what your photo or video should show.
- Set a reminder (alarm icon) so you do not forget to post before the Dare deadline.
- Invite teammates using the Invite button to increase participation and make the competition more exciting.
- Your joining fee is spent when you accept the Dare. Withdrawing after accepting does not refund the fee.
- Prizes are awarded in River Drops, which you can spend in the Drop Shop on custom rewards or gift cards.
