Microsoft Teams Install Guide
The Give River extension for Microsoft Teams brings recognition and team-building into the Teams environment, so your team can exchange recognition and take part in challenges without leaving the app they already work in.

Before You Start
Make sure you have all of the following:
- An active Give River account and organization subscription
- Microsoft Teams installed and configured
- Administrator rights to your Microsoft Teams environment
- Microsoft Teams version 1.4.00 or higher
- A supported browser — Edge, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari
Step 1 — Open the Microsoft Teams Admin Center
- Log in to the Microsoft Teams Admin Center.
- Go to Teams apps > Manage apps.
Step 2 — Install the Give River App
- Search for Give River in the Microsoft Teams app store.
- Select the application.
- Click Add to Team in the column header.
- Click Apply to complete the installation.
- Select the team or teams to install it for. You can search for a team by name in the Teams application interface.
Step 3 — Connect the App to Your Give River Account
- Open the Microsoft 365 Teams app.
- Go to Chats and tap Connect Your Team in the Give River message.
- Enter your Team ID and Team Token in the popup window.
- Confirm that the connection succeeded.
If you see an error at this step, contact support before continuing.
Step 4 — Connect the App to Your Teams Channels
- Tap the Apps icon at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Under Built for your organization, tap Open on the Give River card.
- Search for a channel and select it to add the extension.
Step 5 — Verify the Installation
- Go to a channel where Give River is installed.
- Tap Start a Post.
- Tap the + icon in the lower left.
- Search for and select Give River in the popup window.
If Give River appears and opens, the installation is complete.
